For the last 6 years our extended family has spent a week in the summer at the Podere Santa Croce, Poggia all´Oca. Our family group includes children, adults and seniors as well as a wheelchair user. For all of us the week in the summer has developped into our special annual family reunion particularly because the houses and the beautiful terrain work so well for each member of our family. The houses are very well kept and clean, each year there have been modernizations to it, the gardens and the swimming pool are beautiful and the view is absolutely breathtaking. Moreno is always on hand and tries his very best to keep everything pristine and working. The whole family feels “at home” at Poggia all´Oca and each year we look forward to return.

Splendida e inaspettata sorpresa la nostra vacanza al Poggio all’Oca, delizioso agriturismo ospitato all’interno di un’azienda agricola della Maremma grossetana nella prossimità del borgo di Baccinello, nei pressi di Scansano!
Siamo capitati lì quasi per caso e ci siamo rimasti più del previsto, grazie alla raffinata ospitalità di questo posto immerso in un paesaggio di sapore antico, all’interno della zona di produzione del famoso Morellino di Scansano e dei migliori oli toscani.
Noi siamo stati ospitati in una delle varie costruzioni presenti all’interno dell’azienda agricola e ricavati dal restauro di edifici o ruderi preesistenti. Si chiamava “La Porcilaia” e ospitava due mini-suite separate e consistenti in una spaziosa camera matrimoniale con angolo cottura e bagno, restaurate e arredate con gusto raffinato e perfettamente accessoriate di tutti l’occorrente necessario per un soggiorno libero e autonomo, con un bel tavolo rustico nella veranda. Nel comprensorio c’è una bella e attrezzata piscina a disposizione degli ospiti e numerose altre dimore, simili alla “Porcilaia”, e una grande casa in grado di ospitare gruppi di ospiti in bellissime e spaziose camere ben accessoriate con bellissimi bagni, con una meravigliosa grande cucina, completamente accessoriata di tutto e perfino fornita di un antico forno a legna al suo interno, e due grandi sale da pranzo e salotto: ho deciso che prima o poi radunerò un gruppo di amici per trascorrere tutti insieme una breve vacanza nella “Grande Casa”…
Il tutto è completato dalla possibilità di gustare e acquistare i prodotti del podere, soprattutto olio meraviglioso e vino, insieme ad altre delizie ormai rarissime da trovare in città!

L’ospitalità offerta dai proprietari e i servizi messi a disposizione degli ospiti sono al pari di tutto il resto!

We are Italy fans and have been spending our summer holidays in beautiful Italy for over 30 years. We rented holiday homes in Puglia, Campagnia and also in different regions of Tuscany and always felt comfortable, but then we discovered ‘Poggio all’Oca’ in 2002. We were immediately impressed and have been there almost every summer since then. The big house was ideal for holidays with children and our friends. The common cooking orgies and dinners in the large kitchen at the rustic large oak table are well remembered. Holidays in small groups are always so relaxing that we cannot do without them.

The beautiful landscape, the well-tended property, the well an lovingly furnished houses, the friendliness of the owners and property managers, in our opinion the most beautiful pool in Italy, the fantastic evenings with the sunsets and an incredible starry sky, the tours to Siena, Massa Maritima, Saturnia etc. , the incomparable tranquility, the excellent olive oil from Poggio all’Oca ‘and the good wine from the nearby winery’ Villa Patrizia ‘: all this’ forces’ us to spend even our future summer holidays (always four weeks) in Poggio all’Oca. We highly recommend it.
